this is amazing! i specifically remember the fish hook from the book. i really dreamed of doing the same thing. wheaton didn’t really provide the best spots for escape though.

Thanks for your note, Karen – and for your concern. Is this someone you have known? I assume you don’t share my suspicious nature about his contacting you.

That aside, I would suggest that if he is on Facebook you could more quickly and adequately help him through Facebook. There are many on-line resources that he can use to gain knowledge about learning growing methods. It would be best if he could learn about methods and obtain seeds available in his area rather than from the US. Seeds from the US are of little value to Kenyan farmers or gardeners. One Acre Fund is a good resource for both you and your Kenyan friend.

If you prefer more direct contact, use Facebook to provide information. I would think that is much more efficient and cost effective than flying to Kenya to tell him.

A man from Kitale Kenya sent me a message on facebook to help him and his children grow food. I am sending seeds. He wants me to come to Kenya to teach them my methods of growing, I would happily go.Unfortunately my funds are low and I don’t know any airline pilots that would fund the flight expenses. Can you help? I know I can make a difference in the lives of these children. Help make a difference. Pass The Seed!
